OUR BENGAL BEAUTIES

Are Bengal cats good house cats?

Bengal cats are very active, smart, playful, and vocal. They can be affectionate and loyal. While they might not be the best choice for a busy family or person who is gone all day, they do make great companions for those who have time to spend with them.

BENGAL CAT BREEDERS

Bengal cats are great pets for anyone who is looking for an exotic cat. They have a lot of personalities, and they love to be around people. They can be trained to use the litter box and to not scratch up your furniture. They will become a very loving part of your family.

SHOULD I GET A BENGAL?

Bengal cats are very active and require a lot of toys and playtime to stay happy. If you want to spend your days staring at a cat on the couch, consider another breed.

Bengals are very vocal: they have many different vocalizations ranging from chirps, meows, and yowls. They will definitely let you know what they need and when they need it.

If you're looking for an animal companion who will keep themselves entertained while you're away at work all day long, then this might not be the best fit either because Bengal cats love attention - especially when it comes from their owners.

WHAT IS THE LIFESPAN OF A BENGAL CAT?

The average lifespan of a Bengal cat, such as the snow lynx Bengal, is between 10 and 15 years. Individual cats can live longer than that, but this is the average life span. It is important to note that the Bengal breed lives longer than other breeds of the domestic cats and also lives longer than most other types of house cats in general.

If your Bengal cat has been eating well and has been active throughout its life, there are no special concerns about its longevity. Most healthy Bengals will live at least 10 years with proper care from their owners and veterinarians.

Can Bengal cats be left alone?

Yes, but you need to train them.

Bengal cats can be left alone for several hours at a time if they are trained properly. They need to be taught that certain areas of the house are their “safe zones”—places where they can play and sleep without being disturbed by humans or other pets. They also need to be taught that furniture is off limits and not to jump on counters or kitchen counters where food is kept.

Do Bengal cats cuddle?

The Bengal cat is a social, affectionate, and playful cat. They enjoy the company of their owners and will follow them around the house, as well as play games like tag or fetch. Their curiosity leads them to enjoy exploring new places, examining things closely, and learning about the world around them.

If you're looking for an animal companion then this breed may be perfect for your lifestyle.

Do Bengal cats attach to one person?

Bengal cats are very social, and they like to be with their owners. They can be trained to stay with you while you're home. They are great with children, and they get along well with strangers, other pets, and other cats.

I bought my Snow Lynx Bengal from Maria and I couldn't be happier. She came to me with a very social and loving personality and she gets along really well with my other kitties.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

IS IT BETTER TO HAVE A MALE OR FEMALE BENGAL CAT?

Male cats are more affectionate, and territorial, and they love to play. However, if a male cat is not neutered he will spray foul-smelling urine to mark his territory. If you like a cuddly kitty who likes to play and has an outgoing personality then the male Bengal would be your best option.

Female Bengals can be more independent but they tend to be less vocal than males. They also have different personalities from each other as well so you may want to look into adopting two females instead of just one.

At our Bengal cattery in Ottawa Ontario, we have female kittens (Queens) and male kittens (Kings) available for you to choose from.

IS BENGAL CASTLE A VERIFIED BREEDER?

Yes! Bengal Castle is verified in the city of Ottawa, ON, and is listed on the Bengal Cat Club website and on Cat Kingpin.

WHY DO BENGAL CATS MEOW SO MUCH?

Because of their high intelligence and socialization, Bengal cats are very vocal. They meow to communicate with their owners and other animals. This can be annoying for some people, but it's normal behavior for these cats.

Bengal cats are also known for being very playful and energetic, which is why many of them do not like to sit still and relax indoors. If you want a cat that will stay in one place all day long, then a Bengal cat might not be right for you!

DO BENGAL CATS NEED A SPECIAL DIET?

Yes, Bengal cats need a diet that is rich in protein due to their high activity levels. This also means that they will eat more food than the average domesticated cat.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF A BENGAL KITTEN?

When you buy a kitten from Bengal castle, it will be TICA registered, dewormed, and vaccinated.

There is also a 2-year health guarantee provided with each bengal kitten.

ARE BENGAL CATS CLINGY?

No, they are not clingy. This is a common misconception among people who have never met this type of cat before. Although Bengals are social, especially with their new family, they also enjoy their alone time.

WHAT SHOULD I KNOW BEFORE BUYING A BENGAL CAT?

Before you consider buying, there are a few things you should know. As a breed that was developed in the 1960s, Bengal cats are very active and require a lot of attention and time.

If you're not home for most of the day, or if your home is full of small children who like stuffed animals and aren't particularly careful with them (or if those small children are allergic to cats), then it's probably best to look elsewhere for your feline companion.

If you do have time at home where you can spend it playing with your pet cat, however—and we hope that's true!—then this could be just what the doctor ordered.

AT WHAT AGE DO BENGAL KITTENS CALM DOWN?

Bengal kittens are active and playful until they are about 4 months old. After that, their playfulness will begin to dwindle down, but they will still be very active and playful cats. They may run around the house playing with toys or other cats, but as they grow older (and bigger) these runs tend to become calmer and less chaotic.

As the kitten gets older, their activity levels do not necessarily decrease; rather, they continue to play when they feel like it! In fact, Bengal kittens become more relaxed as adults than other breeds of domestic cats do at this age—their energy is no longer focused on chasing toys or climbing furniture.

HOW DO YOU DISCIPLINE AND TRAIN A BENGAL CAT?

The Bengal cat is an intelligent, energetic cat that requires discipline and training as it grows. The best way to train a Bengal cat is through positive reinforcement, which means rewarding good behavior with affection or treats. It also helps if you have more than one Bengal cat so that they can learn from each other.

WILL BENGAL CATS SLEEP WITH YOU?

Yes, Bengal cats love to cuddle and sleep with their owner. They can be quite adventurous and playful though, so if your Bengal cat wants to jump off the bed and start playing around the room, that’s what will happen. They will take any opportunity to cuddle or play. If you have more questions about owning one of these cats please give us a call or visit our kittens at our Bengal Cattery in Ottawa.

IS A BENGAL CAT A GOOD PET?

If you're looking for a new friend who will be an excellent companion, the Bengal cat could be just what you're looking for. A Bengal kitten will keep you entertained all day long. To see how our kittens are raised and socialized, schedule an appointment with us to visit our lovely Bengal Cattery.
